Preserving the magic of ancient medicine in modern times.

Our contemporary world keep us in a constant state of fight or flight.

This can lead us to feeling stuck & in survival mode, which in turn creates fear & a disconnect between ourselves, nature, and one another.

By allowing ourselves to slow down with the support of plants to connect with our truest selves, we can improve our health, our community, and our environment.

Hi! My name is Maria Fernanda. I am originally from Mexico but a lifelong LA native, having grown up in North Hollywood.

I stumbled into the world of herbalism purely by accident. After studying Political Science and Technology Management at UC Santa Barbara, and a brief stint working in Washington D.C., I graduated mid-pandemic feeling disillusioned, burned out, and stressed beyond belief.

Through various synchronistic and divine interventions, I discovered the world of natural dye during quarantine and embarked on an immersive exploration into herbalism, which led me to enroll into herbal school with Artemisia Academy shortly after.

Now, I'm deeply passionate about weaving the enchantment of herbalism, self-care, and artistry into a harmonious tapestry to foster a profound connection with our true essence and, as a result, embrace a life of reciprocity with the Earth.

With the launch of the Blue Hour traveling ApoTEAcary, I am on a mission to help other Angelenos connect with nature in a new way despite our fast-paced urban environment.
